Gait Scan & Orthotics
Gait scan is a pressure-based computer hardware and software system that helps our physiotherapists to assess and analyse your feet. If orthotics are needed the data is sent to the lab and a custom-made orthotic is manufactured specifically for your feet.
What Gait Scan Can Do for You
The system is designed to assist in detecting abnormal foot function which may be affecting the alignment and movement of your feet or other parts of your body. The Gait scan system records a static (standing still) and dynamic (walking or running across the pressure plate) picture of your foot mechanics.
The report can be used to determine if the pain you are experiencing is due to abnormal foot function and whether you would benefit from wearing custom-made foot orthotics.
